These are really sturdy and hold large, heavy plants and free up room on the patio. I definitely recommend.Just what I wThe rails on my porch are about 3 inch wide and I wasn't sure these would fit so I went with the large size. You can bend the wire a bit and make them fit but it makes them slightly less sturdy. Otherwise they appear to be of good quality. Would recommend them highly (as long as your porch fence is not too wide).I used 12" coco coir liners in these, and then planted herbs in them. I did have to fold/manipulate the liners in order to fit into the baskets in a reasonable way, but it worked out well. I hung two on each side of the level landing on the steps that lead from my kitchen to the backyard. The banister is made of thick vinyl railing which is wider than the hanging hooks on these baskets. I had to bend the hanging hooks until I could get them to hang over the railing properly. This project was easy enough to do, took about 30 minutes, (including planting), and now I have cooking herbs that smell and look fantastic right outside my kitchen door. For my little project, these were perfect. For potsLove the idea, so I’m making them work but they weren’t package very well, Wrapped in plastic nestled inside of each other, the one on the outside was broken when they arrived and unfortunately after a week one of the remaining three broke. I only had an 8 inch pot in it. Again love the ideas so I am making them work but they’re really not a good value.Product is not as functional as described. It can not be placed on the rails of a wooden deck. The hooks are two shallow. Although the baskets are deep, I’m unable to use them on my deck. They fit of a rail made of steel, but then so do the ones at the brick and mortar stores. Very disappointed in this product! I will be returning this product today, less than a day after receipt.Lovely product but hook doesn’t fit over standard deck railing so what good is it?!
