The changing table arrived faster than I expected, and the box and everything inside was undamaged. It took me less than an hour to put it together and if found the instructions easy to follow. The only tool needed is a philips head screwdriver. Im almost eight months pregnant and I put it together by myself (i did have to wait till my son was in bed though, a toddlers help will make putting it together impossible!). The table is quite sturdy, and although the base jn the changing area is particle board, it slots into a groove on all four sides and has a flat metal bar the attaches under the middle for extra support, and it is definitely strong enough to support a kids weight. Others have mentioned that the drawers fall off their slides, and I was prepared to buy some thin sheet wood to stick under the drawers, but after setting it up I dont think i'll need it. The drawers fit tightly between the side rails and dont seem like they will fall through. As others have said, the color is darker than I expected. Its more like a chocolate brown or brown black, and my crib is more cherry ( though i thought of it as espresso). Anyway, I probably would have been better off with the cherry color, but its not enough of a contrast to matter. Im planning to use this only for a year or so and then sell it, and im pretty confident it would go for $75 on Craigslist. Its a very nice looking piece and the drawers look nice too. Buy it!
