This is a small cornet, similar to what is called a "pocket trumpet." They look like a scrunched-up version of the real thing (and they are more affordable). It sounds just like a cornet. I love this horn, but keep the valve oil handy. The valves stick. You may need to apply the oil frequently. But that is not a big problem. It is easily solved. It is still s fun horn.
